Hello all! Thank you anyone who's able to help. I used to use Vegas 11 and have recently upgraded to Pro 17. In the previous version the option was as simple as clicking and drag selecting directly from the video preview screen. The issue is I have text on different tracks that I have arranged to create a logo and I want to be able to select them all and move them in various places on the screen. In Pro 17 I cannot figure out how to do this. Can someone please advise, thank you!

To my knowledge there has nothing changed in the workflow between Vegas version 11 and 17. Even your created projects in version 11 can be opened in version 17 and further edited.

Thank you for your response. Indeed, it all works the same but for some reason I am only able to select and scale one text track at a time. In 11 I was able to click, drag and select all text generated from all tracks from the preview window. I seem to only be able to do this when I have only one track selected and in the media generator editing menu.

Thank you all. I have found that if I use the "make composting parent and child" feature, it will yield the results that I'm looking for.

My next issue is that I understand chroma keying and how to remove the background within the project. I can place anything behind my text. However regardless if background is set to default, black or white, there still technically a background. Does anyone know how to save, copy, render or export just the text and nothing around it so that I can upload that file to have printed on other things?

Make a snapshot of your text and save it as a .png.

And follow the recommendation of Musicvid.
