i have a nvidia GTX1060 GB installed, but Vegas Pro14 won't allow me to select it when I select option/preferences/ GPU acceleration of video processing.
Sometimes it happens that some applications do not want to work on raw driver assemblies, usually I just roll back to the previous version to solve the problem
@vkmast I was thinking just that, PM it, and request user when he has downloaded to notify me, so I can remove my download link. Will do shortly, thanks. @ross-conley Is now PM'd.
I have NVIDIA 1080Ti with latest studio driver. This is the GPU state in the video tab just by opening up the program: V13 GPU on, V14 GPU Off (no way to turn it on), V15 GPU on, V16 GPU on, V17 & V18 GPU on.
V14 is worst Vegas version in my view V17 & V18 the best.
@andyrpsmith Maybe its the same issue, re: vp14 gpu. I’m not disagreeing with you at all, honestly, when I say that other users might have different experiences. Personally I had the impression that VP14 was fairly solid, and am of the opinion that the best, most hopeful, feature rich version, at 1st. release was vp17, sadly unlike 13 onwards, they didn’t finish it. By that I mean that usually the last update of each version from 13 onwards was solid. I believe, whether true or not, can stand corrected, that the team were in the process of fiddling with the underlying code base at the end of vp17, so that transited to vp18 for stability, but left vp17 at the end, unfinished.
Currently, I fall back on VP16, last update, when things don’t work in VP18. I posted recently, somewhere😂 in the forum, two different issues, where vp16 just worked and the current vp18 434 didn’t.
No doubt other users will have different experiences.
