Saw Mountain many times in Boulder. His extended riffs were spellbinding.

Not many remember the group, West, Bruce, and Laing, but some say their music was better than Mountain. Jack Bruce, of course, was from Cream, a heavy influence in my early Boulder days.

Never got to see them live, but he was a big influence on my guitar playing. Shame.
