Help please. 1440p render problems Vegas 15

Quid3 wrote on 12/20/2017, 5:24 PM

Hello guys,

I'm using Sony Vegas 15 and i'm having a problem when trying to render at 1440p(2560x1440). The problem is that the video somehow wont show its real resolution on properties and when uploaded to youtube only allows it to be at 1080p!

I took some pictures so it's easier for you guys to address the problem:

Please help me solve this problem.

Thanks

Best regards

Are you sure YouTube Player displays 1440 p at full resolution?

It is unclear where your problem lies as unfortunately your last image doesn't show the pixel size. Please post media info on your exported file.

If your export is 2560 x 1440 then it would appear to be a problem with YouTube not handling it correctly.

Lastly, it helps to post images into your post, as Cornico has done, rather than links to the images elsewhere.

Post a link to your YouTube video so we can see how it's delivered to us by YouTube.

Sry i'm new i dont know how to post images here.

The problem is not with youtube because there's an issue as you can see on the image by not showing the resolution of the video, the other videos are fine.

To post images use the upload button

Did you already customized the Magix AVC 4K template as I did?

Yes i've already done it, and still the same problem, even if i render the video with the default Magix AVC 4K without editing i will still get the same problem!

Is it possible to post somewhere a small (5 sec) piece that you rendered out that gives you that problem. I like to check that file you rendered.

Sure, here it is: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ZhNhoQoU47wjk5Ml6stYfhy943u33vR6

Oh and btw, here it is the same file but in 1080p with no problems: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1RhX102pAott3i9K35LxiWk9IjWid8lJ2

Thank you but that is not what I was asking for because this website converts your file to 1920x1080. I mean to post a small file in dropbox or a website that does not convert such a file.

Edited

Yes, same here. Your file's resolution is read correctly as 2560 x 1440 on several media players, MediaInfo and Vegas Pro.

YouTube conversions are different pairs of shoes.

Ok i got the thumbnails problem solved by just reinstalling K-Lite Codec.

The width and height still not showing on windows explorer but shows in every other program i use, and its fine on youtube as well i just had to wait a little more for youtube to allow the 1440p option.

You guys were right this is not a Vegas issue this is either a registry or a windows 7 problem.

Thanks to all who helped me.

Best regards
