Installing the free December LUTs

Michael-Hampton wrote on 12/5/2021, 7:08 PM

I have downloaded the first six free December LUTs to my computer and moved them from downloads to a new folder that I put in the Vegas 19 folder. I see all six of the zip files with the cube files in them, now what. How do I install them into Vegas Pro so that I can use them? I have never added new stuff to my Vegas programs so this is a first for me. When I look under Video FX All Plug-Ins they are not there so how do I get them there.

Just put them where you can find them, and call them by location from the Vegas LUT plugin or Grading Panel.

From VP 19 I can login to the Vegas Hub and I now get a highlit Vegas Hub logout shinning brightly. Where are the LUTs. Should there not be another window open in order to select LUT for download?

Well I now have a 'Vegas sales platform' window open. Expansion packs etc to buy but no sign of LUTS.

@vkmast That was the clue I was missing plus I'm on a clean W10 install with MS edge excluded. Plus Crtl+Alt+8.

Really having a bad day; Cannot find the resolved button. Thanks.

I have now downloaded 8 of the free LUTs cube files but don't know how to get them into Vegas so I can use them.

If you are using Vegas' LUT Filter, click on the Browse button and then in the Explorer-like window that opens, drill down to the folder on your computer where you have stored the LUTs. If using Color Grading, click on the folder icon in the Look LUT tab just to the right of the color wheels, and then use the Explorer-like window as above.

It's fairly much the same process for any 3rd party LUTsd as well.

Perhaps there is folder where Vegas Pro's native LUTs are stored and the new free ones can be added there. If there is, I imagine that someone else on the forum will advise.

According to this comment re VP 18: "AUTO LOOK is a LUT FX which can only use 21 LUTs make by VEGAS developers. These LUTs is in : C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 18.0\OFX Video Plug-Ins\Vfx1.ofx.bundle\Contents\Resources\AutoLooks . AUTO LOOK can't reconize other LUTs."

VP 19 has several more.
