IMHO yes. Why not find out for yourself. Try before you buy.

Many times the next version is really not much different. So this is a case where 15 is just a lot better?

You need to judge for yourself.

Depends on how you use the program and especially your favorite workflow and this can only be judged by one person >> you.

Therefore follow the first and best advice of vkmast.

Because of native .MOV support (No need to install Quicktime again) and HEVC rendering I strongly recommend the new version.

With Vegas Pro 16 already released, MSP 16 can't be that far behind.

I'd wait until the holidays if I were you.

ingeborgdot wrote on 9/5/2018, 12:32 PM

Wow, I don't know if I can wait that long. If I'm going to do it I need to do it I think. I'm actually upgrading from MS12 imagination studio. I can get 14 for very, very cheap. The 15 upgrade isn't that much but 12 really needs an upgrade and I am doing it on multiple computers.

MAGIX Vegas product line release dates so far:

Vegas Pro 14, September 9, 2016 > Vegas Pro 15, August 28, 2017 > Vegas Pro 16, August 27, 2018

Vegas Movie Studio(s) 14, February 21, 2017 > Vegas Movie Studio(s) 15, February 26, 2018

As for using Magix Vegas(es) on multiple computers, read item 9 here.

Are you proposing a predictive model for release intervals?

Sacrilege.

vkmast wrote on 9/7/2018, 9:28 AM

No, just stating what we've seen in the Magix era so far. As they say, "past performance is no guarantee of future".
