Its been a while

Hi

I have just seen the offer for Vegas 17 Pro. I am currently still with Pro 13, well it does the job. I have bought most of the New Blue plugins and Neat video plus a few more.

If I bite the bullet will my plugins still work and in the back of my mind I keep hearing the "If it ain't broke don't fix it monster".  Also can I upgrade from Pro 13 and still get the discount?

Given its been a few years bedding in I would appreciate your advice.

Update: I have just spent 30 mins looking at Movie Studio that seems to give most of what I need using a little less overhead in the workstation. Has anyone done a comparison between Studio and Pro?

Thanks in advance

John

Vegas doesn't manage your paid subscriptions with third party plugin manufactureres. Ask them. As far as plugins previously bundled with your Vegas 13 purchase, don't get your hopes up. The types and sizes of files you can open in 17 is radical by comparison.

Thanks for the reply I will check out New Blue and Neat Video. When you say "radical" I assume you mean size and type?

If your Vegas Pro 13 serial number has not previously been used for upgrading, it should be valid for special upgrade pricing.

Thanks vkmast. In case anyone else needs the information just heard from New Blue and they say that their plugins (essentials pack) will work in all of the Vegas versions.

Vegas Movie Studio 13 will not open 4k or h265/ HEVC, because they were all invented after 2015. That's just he the tip of the iceberg.

Guys thanks for the information. Would you know if there is a comparison chart between Studio and Pro?
