Which version of Movie Studio are you using and is it basic or platinum?

Platinum

Whichever render template you are using click the "Customize Template" button and alter the bitrate to 5,000. Which template are you using?

Whichever one was the lowest as it stood.........when I tried to do that earlier, I made the change and then wouldn't save as an option.

This is what Libry says that I need to upload:

"use MP4s in H264/AAC format and a friendly bitrate (under 5 Mbps) and resolution (720p) for more reliable streaming. "

After customising the template you need to type in new different name in the Template name box in order to save.

I couldn't get 5,000,000 bps CBR as it didn't allow typing in. The nearest in the drop down list was 4,000,000 but I could type in under VBR.

I don't know why you would choose <5mb/s uploads over Youtube, which delivers higher than that.

But if you have a reason to do that, x264 ( Handbrake) holds up far better at suboptimal bitrates than does either Sony or Mainconcept AVC. [Edited]

The OP mentioned in his first post that he's uploading to Libry as he's done with YouTube.

HOS etc may be better but to my knowledge none of them work with Movie Studio?

MSP, Handbrake and Dr Zen

EricLNZ wrote on 7/23/2020, 6:37 PM

Tks @vkmast but that involves a double render, and additional software, and I assumed Musicvid was suggesting using them from VMS instead of Sony or MC. I actually use Handbrake to convert my 50i to 50p for Vimeo.

I didn't post with both eyes open. Handbrake yes, the other two are for Vegas Pro, mea culpa.
