Making Vegas more affordable for low income film makers?

Rachel-Donahue wrote on 8/7/2021, 4:51 PM

Hello. I'm a huge and active Vegas fan. I bought it several years ago with my own money. However, I recently lost a lot of my income.Covid hit me badly and I'm currently low income. I mainly purchased Vegas by receiving an educational version which reduced the price. I've been using it to try and create indie films. I know there's a Vegas discount right now, but I currently can't afford it and I don't know when another one will come out. I'm a new Magix user and a beginner in the software, so I don't know much about Vegas.

@Rachel-Donahue Your post doesn't make any sense. You say you're "a huge and active Vegas fan" who "bought it several years ago", but you later state that you're "a beginner in the software, so I don't know much about Vegas".

Which is it and what are you asking for? This is a user to user forum and has no influence on the price of the product.

You can find licensed older versions of Vegas Pro on Steam and Humble Bundle, sometimes at greatly reduced prices.

Since you say you have Vegas already (which version), then use what you have. There are people using older versions to make videos. And since you don't know much about it, getting a "newer" version isn't going to help you. Learn what you already have.

What do you possibly think having a "newer" version will bring to the actual editing table that you do not have right now?
