Movie Studio 16.0 Platinum no longer runs.

I have been using movie studio since version 10, and suddenly it won't open anymore. I have used it extensively on this computer. I tried opening the program today for the first time in roughly a week, and it opens up the beginning little box, but opens no further. I have tried restarting my computer, and I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the program. Has this happened to anyone else? Or is this their way of forcing me to upgrade? I plan on switching over to Adobe products instead of updating, but i need to use this program in the meantime.

Any ideas?

You might at least try resetting. Follow closelt the instructions here.

The "little box" will hang at a specific point and tell you on which library it hung up. Just for fun, which library would that be?

Have you tried resetting to factory defaults as suggested by @vkmast or "just" reinstalling Vegas?

It gets hung up on "creating Video Plug-in factory"
