MSPlat 7 can't import .mts files

Debra-Jones wrote on 5/24/2020, 11:59 AM

Haven't used my Movie Studio Platinum 7.0 (Build 52) in a while, but now trying to use it, I get "unsupported file" (attached) - Strangely, I can open the .mts file in Movies/Tv App,,, the .mts file is the format from my Sony HDR-CX230 camcorder. Is this going to require I upgrade to the newer version? Does the newer version import .mts format?

OS is Windows 10 Home,

Vegas normally has no problem with these files.

Thank you so much for your reply, but even when I try to view the files in File Explorer,, in Movie Studio Platinum,, they do not even show up in the display (I can see my JPGs in the appropriate folder, but not the .mts files within FIle Explorer in Movie Studio Platinum 7.0

MSPlat 7 is somewhat old now. I wonder if it is capable of handling HD mts files?

Test the free 30-day trial version of VEGAS Movie Studio 17 Platinum. Please see the System requirements here.

Your MSP 7 serial number may be eligible for the upgrade pricing.
