I suspect you need to have DVDA installed to get the Blu-ray with menus item. But then would have thought the same applied for dvd with menus.

Even Vegas Pro 19 doesn't offer menus for either DVD or BD burns via Tools/Burn Disc even if DVDA (6 in my case) is installed or not. However, in VP19, Tools/Burn Disc/BD does offer to create chapters at markers, but DVD doesn't.

Interesting. I have DVDA7 installed and VMS17Platinum gave me the option of menus for both DVD and Blu-ray.

See @EricLNZ and @Dexcon. (VMS Platinum version) If you use (Project >) Make Movie > Burn it to a DVD or Blu-ray Disc and a DVD and choose a DVD with menus or BD with menus, "Send to DVD Architect" the rendered movie (files).

Bd with menus is greyed and I can not choose it

Do you actually have a physical BluRay Burner attached to your computer, or a Virtual BluRay Drive, such as DVDFab? Does DVD Architect recognize it?

EricLNZ wrote on 1/11/2022, 2:58 PM

DVDA will create a Blu-ray project and burn to an iso image without a Blu-ray burner being present. At least that's my experience.

Having same issue as Panos above, cannot select Blu Ray with Menu option for some reason in Movie Studio 17P? Even with DVDA installed. Looking to see if any of my setting are off but cannot find anything? Blu Ray burner works, used it with a Roxio program. I have a Verbatium burner.

@William-Mikalik That's strange. I don't have my BR burner connected but VMS17P Build 223 gives me the options. Suggest a "Factory reset" Instructions here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/ Whilst written for VP they also apply to VMS.

Well, I figured what was going on. When importing MTS files from a Panasonic HD camera, VMS17P does not like to import MTS files that have 5.1 audio. You have to import the video files as 2 channel audio. Now Blu Ray with Menus works fine. As soon as you add another video file with 5.1 audio it stops working again. Maybe one day there will be a patch for the 5.1 audio but not that big of deal for me anyway since 2 channel if fine for what I need to use the video for.
