I struggle onward with VMSP17, learning tidbits as I go. So here's a question for you all:
I shoot a lot of action camera footage. Often many continuous hours of 1080/30. This creates large numbers of 4Gbyte sequential files. I haven't tried this yet but I suspect VMSP17 will choke if, for example, I dump 4 or more 4Gbyte source files onto the timeline. Is their a reasonable limit to shoot for? At what size of source file does VMSP17 perform best? What's a manageable, workable length of timeline anyway? Do folks create two hour continuous projects in one piece on the timeline (for example) or chunk it down for manageability and glue it back together when finished?
I know I can either precut the sources into smaller chunks before loading into VMSP17 and I guess I can render chunks and somehow piece them together, but what is best practice on this subject?
Hey... inquiring minds want to know!
