Serial Number for old Sony Movie Studio version

In 2009 I bought Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9. I have the box, receipt, manuals, and CD. I installed in on my then PC. The PC died recently so I bought a new one and when installing it asks for the S/N. Ok, I can't seem to find it. Sony cleverly didn't print it on the CD sleeve, Box or Manuals. I don't remember where it is. I put everything back in the box after the install. I see no S/N. Can I get a S/N from Sony?

I just tested and my S/Ns from Sony/SCS are still available as mentioned in that post.

And thank goodness they are. I have over a dozen Sonic Foundry and Sony titles registered, many of them still usable.

Or not, like "Siren Jukebox."

Nope. When I bought Vegas 9 in 2009 I did not register it online. I have the physical disc, box and receipt. The links provided do not indicate that I own anything.

TBH, version 9 was transitional wrt AVCHD, and lots of HD format support is incomplete. It leaned heavily on QT7.

To my thinking, any more current version of Movie Studio Platinum would be more robust and agile.

My first (and only) box purchase was VMSPS 10, which has all the necessary S/Ns printed in the Installation Guide leaflet. A silly question of course, but have you double-checked the leaflet(s) that may have been included in your box? As you did not register your software, it most likely was not transferred to your Magix Account either.

So you may be out of luck and need to consider looking for a newer version of (preferably) MS Platinum. MAGIX themselves offer MS 16 Platinum at about USD 60 (new purchase). The offer is valid until Nov.11. Note that things have changed somewhat since SVMS 9 as @Musicvid also mentions.
