Some plugins refuse to load properly in Vegas Pro 20

Sascha-Quinn wrote on 8/13/2022, 8:00 PM

Hi. I have a little problem when loading plugins in Vegas 20. When ever I try to load in VST plugins, plugins like CMT_Bitcrusher 2, and Orange Vocoder sometimes either are skipped or have an I/O of -1/-1. I tried to search the problem on Google and got no results. Any idea on why this happens here instead of all other versions of Vegas?

There is a new VST engine so it's good to report any issues you find to the developers. I have noticed problems too.

@Sascha-Quinn Please press the "Refresh" button to initialize the plugins.

I tried that as well but the same problem persists. Also each time I scan for plugins, Vegas 20 shoves so many "Cannot find module" errors in my freaking face.

I have the same issue as well, so you are not alone

It would be helpful if you can list specifically which plugins are not loading properly, or at least some of them, so they can be tested... I know you did list some, Sascha, but if Jimmy could too, that would help. The more detailed we make our bug reports, the easier it is for them to reproduce the issue and fix it.

Refreshing it didn't help. Also, the problem is that I usually run it without any browsers open, and that the plugins I use no longer receives any updates...

DId you find a solution to this?
Having same issue with a plugin since upgrading to VEGAS Pro 20

Specifically the FX/Effector plugin by Image-Line

Please note that not all plugin makers test or certify their products for use in Vegas Pro. For those, you will need to contact the plugin developer for support.

All VST plugins are not created equal.

The problem is that those plugins loaded successfully on an older version of Vegas like 19 and below so this might not be the reason why this is happening.
