Transferring Program

So I got a new laptop and am in the process of installing the Vegas Pro 15 version onto it. I've got the files over from my old laptop, installed and am stuck on the 'activate with serial number'. I've entered the serial number, entered my email and am coming up with the error code - 14 (serial number is invalid or applies to another product).

I've triple checked the number, it matches what's on my account... I've only used the program on the old laptop, no other device.

What am I missing?

Did you check the current activations of the software on your MAGIX Account > My products > Show more details.? If there are double activations on the same device, deactivate one.

(You've probably read the standard Support advice.)

Yes, I've gone through the menus multiple times. (when my internet allows me, I don't think the current storm conditions are helping)

If there is a place to enter 'Machine ID.' don't enter the number from the old machine, leave it blank. See if that helps.

A good point @Musicvid - I can't remember ever entering a machine ID as part of the activation process even if that option was available.
