Trouble installing Vegas Movie Studio 16 & four other Magix apps

I'm having trouble installing Vegas Movie Studio 16,Vegas Pro 16 Edit, Music Maker, and Sound Forge Audio Studio 13, which I bought in a Humble Bundle. Was able to install other products: ProDAD ReSpeedr, and FXhome Enhance Ultra though.

The Magix Installation Managers fail with this message:

An error has occurred during communication.
Pleas check your internet connection.
Please check the following prerequisites for a successful transfer:

Check that your network attachments are correct (modem, network cable...).
Check to see if your internet connection settings are correct in your system settings (network connection).

With help from your network administrator or internet service team make sure that current settings are correct.

Abort        Retry        Ignore

I checked the installation managers of some other Vegas and Magix programs that I already own: SF Audio Studio 10, and Vegas Pro 15, and they failed with the same message.

I've disabled firewall (Microsoft Defender Firewall) and anti-virus (Windows Security), reinstalled WiFi Network drivers (latest) and checked settings, reset modem/router and checked settings, network cabled to my modem router, run Microsoft troubleshooters. Never seen this before with a Magix installation manager, and after a day and a half, I'm stumped.

I'm running 64bit Windows 10 Home. Stable set up, no other download issues, or streaming issues.

Anyone solved this problem? Any tips? I'd love to get it sorted before the redemption period of my Humble Bundle purchases closes.

Stock advice is to disable antivirus, internet proxies, or VPN. Run wit Administrator privileges, and repeat in case its a temporary internet problem. Windows firewall and antivirus shouldn't cause a problem with activation.

Thank you for the good advice, but that's what I did (above). I don't run a VPN and my system is set to not use a proxy. And I ran the installers with elevated privileges. Nothing seems to work. I was only able to download the software that doesn't involve Magix' download and authorisation system.

I appreciate your kind input. I'll now see if I can raise anyone at infoservice@magix.net.

Just to check, did you try Chrome to download? If so, try another browser.

And did try downloading from MAGIX Download Center?

Yep, I tried Firefox, Internet Explorer and Edge, and downloaded installers from the Magix Download Centre. I have bought, installed, registered and activated 20 Sony and Magix products before, most of them since 2016, and have never had this kind of difficulty before.

I'm at a loss. Thanks for your kind suggestions. I've just contacted Magix support.
