UPdate not installing

Noel-Ong wrote on 7/25/2019, 5:24 AM

I have the Vegas Movie Studio 16 Platinum

Version 16 (Build 109)

Everytime I open the software it tells me there is an up date. I select to download it.

After this is completed, it says the installer cannot open the update. And no update happens.

Can someone help me with this issue?

I was using the Ver 15 and it was all good.

Try downloading your language version from here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-movie-studio-16-update-2-build-138-142--116343/

Then run the file without Movie Studio being open. That is while it is shut down.

The error message says.... The installer is unable to update Movie Studio 16.0 Platinum while it is running.

When this comes up, My Movie Studio is shutdown.

Download the appropriate file from the link I gave you and run while it is shutdown.

I downloaded the file and it worked. Then it asked me for my serial number. I put mine in and now it tells me that its the wrong number? When I put the number in, I get the green ticks. I should have just stayed with Ver 15....

That link is to Movie Studio 16. Is that different from Movie Studio 16 Premium? maybe that is why I am having issues with the Serial number.

When this comes up, My Movie Studio is shutdown.

This software can take several minutes to unload memory buffers after closing.

Simply restart the computer before installing the update and see if that solves it.
