Vegas Movie Studio is collapsing

i have problem with launching vegas platinum. It ran once, then when closed and I tried to launch it again it looked like trying to open many windows and collapsed.

Error message offered me to send troubles to developer and said this.

May I presume you are running Windows 10 and have read the system specs?

I have found your dump file on our system. I would suggest uninstalling the software, download it again directly from VEGAS Creative Software and reenter your serial number. Also, you graphics drivers appear out of date and you are running an old version of Windows 10. I suggest you update them.

Windows 10, fully upgraded, AMD Quad-Core (some 13xx), GeForce 1050 Ti inside.

Software was installed and downloaded from link provided by email, but I uninstalled it, download it from your pages and isntalled it to C: drive, though I install everything to D: ... no change it kept collapsing.

Before all cleaning and restarting it tried to open many windows very quickly, after it slowed down. Actually result and error message are same.

Serial number and registration is doing fine, Music Creator works well, DVD Architect works well, Your updater things works well, just that bloody Platinum Movie Maker is bleeding.

Do you have any other idea?

I do not know if this will help you in any way, but since you have the same GPU as I have, 1050Ti, I thought of telling you that I can only use an older driver with Vegas. That is driver 399.24. Might, just might be helpful to you. If not, sorry I wouldn't have any other suggestion.

Not sure if he means Preferences as in Options > Prefs. but you could try resetting the software to default settings as advised here. Be sure to follow the advice closely. (It applies to your "bloody" Movie Studio Platinum as well.)

it's the same problem with the application crashing before starting could be the same solution

Michal-Ruzicka Try holding ctrl+shift and double clicking the application. (check the box for delete all cached application data) and click yes see if that opens the program

@Jordan-Miller from what I can decipher from your video, the "Faults" look somewhat similar to the ones in this thread https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-movie-studio-16-platinium-crashes-at-opening--116828/. You might want to try the suggestion that worked there. (You don't have much to lose.)

edit: I see you tried already. Did it work?

I have done that it works until you close the program just thought i would suggest it for Michal-Ruzicka maybe it'll do something different with MS 17

This one worked. Thank you very much. I had to hold CTRL+SHIFT longer then I expected, but then it flew high :D
