But it's just weird i am on patch 161 in vegas pro 14 and i see patches from build 270 on this forum but i can't update my vegas pro 14 to patch 270 in any way?
The last update for VEGAS Pro 14 was build #270. You can check your current installed build from Online Help (F1) > About > General. The last builds of any version can be downloaded using MAGIX Download Center.
@pepe you should be able to use the legitimate serial number that you got from MAGIX to download.
And to clarify once again: In VEGAS terminology, Updates are new builds of a version and free. Upgrades are new numbered versions and not free unless there was a special upgrade offer (e.g. buy v16 and get v17 free).
