You can easily upgrade to Vegas Pro 18 by going to the Upgrade Page.

You can not update Vegas Pro 14 for free. It reached the end of its life cycle several years ago.

Update or upgrade to VEGAS Pro 18? There is no update for VP14 but you can upgrade to VP18

Please don't double post.

Or is vegas pro 18 update free?

No, of course not. Would you expect to trade in your 2013 Toyota/Mazda/Ford/etc motor car for a 2020/21 model cost free? An update of an existing version is not an upgrade to a new version.

Sorry for the double post.

I agree it shouldn't be free :D

But it's just weird i am on patch 161 in vegas pro 14 and i see patches from build 270 on this forum but i can't update my vegas pro 14 to patch 270 in any way?

The last update for VEGAS Pro 14 was build #270. You can check your current installed build from Online Help (F1) > About > General. The last builds of any version can be downloaded using MAGIX Download Center.

@pepe you should be able to use the legitimate serial number that you got from MAGIX to download.

And to clarify once again: In VEGAS terminology, Updates are new builds of a version and free. Upgrades are new numbered versions and not free unless there was a special upgrade offer (e.g. buy v16 and get v17 free).

@pepe good that we got this sorted out. Thanks for confirming, always appreciated.

And another avenue to get the latest version - go to My Products on My Account on MAGIX and download the installer for your product - it should give you the last build of that product.

Your "My Account" is here https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/ and https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/support/service-center/. The latter is called "Service center" but actually the same as "My Account".
