Pleased to see the bug where selecting an audio event was slow (selecting a video event was fine) is now fixed.

Can you elaborate a little on "Redesigned the drawing of parts events on the timeline to avoid potential hangs and crashes" ? Just wondering if it is the cause of random hangs I get when editing.Time will tell.

I just got Pro 19 on Saturday and today I downloaded the latest update. On Saturday it was running fine on my Windows 10 PC but now it refuses to even launch.

I paid for a program that has now been screwed up and will not even start, please post a way to roll back this update or how to get a refund.

Try first a total reset of this installation following exactly and to the point this link.
If that does not help you uninstall the program plus after a new Windows start install the build you bought last week again.

Tried the trouble shooting steps. Restarted my coputer, reinstalled the program but it keeps cashing on the initializing scripts step of the splash screen.

Maybe it just doesn't work with 32 gigs of ram, an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core Processor  3.79 GHz, or an RTX 2060, I don't know. I have tried everything but this program just doesn't work.

How do I make sure I don't continue to get billed month after month for something that doesn't work?

When executing the program, it loads the plugins, effects,...(everything seems normal) but when the initial interface should appear, the program closes completely.

The composition of my computer is very similar to that of @Matthew-Given

As usual...the download link doesn't work in Chrome & cutting and pasting doesn't either.

@Matthew-Given if you look in the news forum, you'll see the thread that announced update 1, which has the link to download the older installer, which you can use to roll back to the previous update.

It would be interesting to know which custom scripts you have installed that could be causing it to hang on the script launching... are you getting the error report screen when it crashes? If so, submit the report with your e-mail address and forum user name in the box, and the team will reach out to you if they need more info from you to be able to fix the bug .

First of all, great update, thanks! As a long time Vegas user it is so good to see the program evolving with useful features.

[EDIT: removed bug report because I realized that I misunderstood this. Although I still think there is a bug with the color grading panel Y slider and using the mouse wheel... when hovering the cursor over the Y sliders under the color wheels, and using the mouse wheel, it also moves the dot in the color wheel, not just the slider... this is what confused me...]

I updated the software but I can seem to find Vegas Hub anywhere now. I had just used it this morning prior to the upgrade. Am I missing something?

After the installation, it took me about 5-10 minutes until my hard drives were displayed in the "Explorer window" under "Computer".
Is this normal because they may have to be scanned before they are displayed?
I have not noticed this with any installation so far.  

Otherwise, the installation went smoothly as always.

Did you uninstall Vegas before reinstalling? Also take a look in your Documents directory and see if there's a folder named "Vegas Script Menu". That's an optional folder for custom scripts that you can delete if you're not using custom scripts... only mention it in case there's something whacked in there that's hanging the initialization. More likely it's something else. Like not being online, Vegas being blocked by a firewall, or having some obsolete or unsupported plugins that need to be uninstalled.

I used the link here to download and chose to install after the program was closed. Everything went smoothly this time.
