Vegas Pro 14 on Win 10. Quick Time (7.7.9) has been installed. The source media is in .mp4. Vegas renders only the audio track in .wav but not the entire media. Does anyone know the solution?
@Kati-Matrai Hi, someone will help you but more info is needed, can you share screen shots of the full screen & render settings,
Also can you go to your icon at the top, click it - My Profile, & fill in your Signature with your Vegas version, Windows version & system specs, CPU, GPU, RAM etc. this will then show at the bottom of the comments & will help people help you 👍 (see mine at the bottom of this comment)
Read this link & share what you can inc the MediaInfo, when opening MediaInfo, choose Text from the View option, select all, copy & paste in a comment here,
Is the video stream visible on the timeline? Do you have the track muted, by chance? Yes, it is visible, no muted track. Anyway, I tired of the V., I’m going to use another editor.

Those render options are Audio options, have you chosen a .wav instead of Sony XAVC or is there a Filters option at the top? set it Filters Off, you want one of the options in vkmast's pic that has .mp4 at the end in brackets
This Project Properties image suggests you are in portrait mode 1080 x 1920 (9:16), as opposed to landscape which is 1920 x 1080 (16:9), (Change it in the Template box at the top if it's not right)
If you click Sony XAVC there will be options, but i suspect they will be (16:9) options, choose the 1920 x 1080 one, with 30fps or 29.97fps, (your pic shows 30.036, that's an odd fps, (frames per second)), see if there's an option to Customise this Template, change the numbers around from 1920x1080 to 1080x1920, in this pic i've included it says Stretch video to fill output, I would leave that unticked for the moment, it can give you a false render shape/size, or it can be a solution to fill the format size chosen, you'll have to play with that,
Perhaps on the timeline just choose a small part & choose the option Render Loop Region Only, that will render quick & you can play with the controls to see what fits your project best, I suggest you only change one thing each time then render & see what difference that one thing makes, I can't see your preview screen & in the Project Media you have a landscape pic & a portrait pic 🤷♂️

I will follow your instructions! Thank you!
At this moment I don't know if V. has taken note of the settings in the photo (no OK button) and can I exit this window for further settings?
If there's no OK button, it might be cut off by screen resolution or magnification? In Windows display under scale and magnification try reducing to 125% or 100%.
The exit button won't save settings. Hitting enter instead might.
Thank you! Meanwhile, V. accepted the .mxf .mp4 format, inside Sony XAVC/... template and at long last, I could render the video in .mxf (very large). BUT, the video smelled...
