Not totally sure what u mean with "add an audio spectrum" but if you're talking about an audio analyzer or similar, yes - MS supports VST plugins and there's plenty VST plugins doing the job.

A very good one (and free) is Voxengo SPAN (just google it). I've never tried it in MS but it should do the trick?

If it is about visualizing audio then HitFilm Express plus the »Audio-visual pack« (an $ 50 add-on for HiitFilm Express) is another choice.
