VMS 17 is kinda broken

I purchased my own copy of Vegas Movie Studio 17 since I edit a lot, but when I installed it and registered the product, it seems so empty... There is a serious lack of settings, and I've also been having troubles with the welcome screen... Every time I try to leave the welcome screen without opening any projects, the program starts spamming me with the Save As screen and I can't seem to close it since it'll just bring up another one unless I save as a random file. Movie Studio 16 Platinum doesn't have that issue...What's going on?

Product version: VEGAS Movie Studio Version 17.0 (Build 103)

Other specs: Windows 10 Home Edition, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen™ 5 2400G APU with Radeon™ RX Vega 11 Graphics

Movie Studio 17 basic version does not have advanced controls. For that, you need a Platinum version. All of the presales information is available at the Magix website.

I see... Does that also include not being able to disable the welcome screen? I don't think I've seen an option for it.

In VMS 17 Platinum there is the General Preference to "Always show Welcome Screen when program starts". Keep it unticked.

In the basic version there is an Internal (hidden) Preference to "Show Welcome Screen when program starts" as the default. Internal prefs. can be found by holding Shift while clicking (Options >) Preferences. Change Value to FALSE (at your own risk). Your better option for the future is Platinum though.

Oh, that solves the problem. Maybe in the future I'll upgrade to Platinum so I don't have to fiddle with it too much. Much appreciated!
