I'm new to vegas. i was a pinnacle studio user for many years decided to leave all the problems behind "i hope" . i just installed MS 16 platinum and i noticed the DVD had several .wav files. can anyone tell me what they are for and if i want to use them,do i need to put the DVD in my drive every time i do want to use them? thanks !!
Presumably you are installing from a DVD. Most of us install from a download so don't come across these wav files. So sorry I have no idea. Post a screenshot from Windows Explorer so we can see what they are.
I don't have the disc either, but can you not copy the files/folders to your hard disc?
I would install the program and save my curiousity for later. They have nothing to do with functionality.
There doesn't appear to be any wav files in my Vegas programme folder & subfolders (according to an explorer search) so I'm intrigued to find out what they are on rcflyer's disc.
the .wav files were in a folder on the DVD. I bought the software at best buy.

What are they? Give us a screenshot of your folders contents.
Edit: I've just realised the wav files could be associated with Magix Music Maker which is probably on the DVD as it's available with the download. Magix have been giving it away free for a few years now.
Dumb question... does VMS have a screen capture option? PS did but it only captured video in WMV low resolution.

VMS 16 Pl has a screencapture option , that you will find in the menu Project, it makes video in AVC 30fps
