I'd been rendering using the NV encoder which results in the progressive checkbox being grayed out, *but checked* I'd been hoping that the fact that it was checked would mean that the moov atom would be at the start but I just uploaded an hour long 1080p video and YT spent 30 minutes (or so, I wasn't really timing it) processing on the HD version after the upload had finished. So now I'm not sure if I'm rendering for quality and fast upload/availability on youtube.
That is because it is not progressive download.
Progressive Encode ≠ Progressive Download
All streaming video is encoded progressive. That means that it is not interlaced.
Fast Start aka Web Optimized aka Progressive Download acts as an instruction for the decoder, not the encoder.
It is not a requirement, although it should be.
You can change your NVENC video to progressive download with MP4FastStart, ffmpeg, Yamb/MP4Box, or similar.

I've been rendering my 30-60 min video with the format MAGIX HEVC/AAC MP4 for youtube upload. However, the audio and video are not matching at the end. I'm new at this! Please help!
@ALE ... It would have been preferable for you to have started a new post on this issue rather than tagging on to an older post about another issue. The OP on this thread did not have an issue about sync - that is a new and different issue.
@ALE please create a new post for your issue as @Dexcon suggests. (Click your avatar in the upper right corner and then "New:Post". Proceed from there.) Thank you.
