Hi,
I've recently been working on a project in Sony Vegas Pro 14.0 when I noticed a bizarre problem when certain images are rendered (both in the Preview Window or actually rendered and viewed as a video file).
When certain images have Pan/Crop adjustments applied to them, they are displayed in the Preview Window erratically and bizarrely in a manner which does not correlate to the actual Pan/Crop applied to them. Huge jumps suddenly occur, rendering the image at vastly different X and Y coordinates than should be expected given the actual Pan/Crop adjustment. In the example(s) below, the Pan/Crop applied to this video simply consists of one adjustment - at the end of the video timeline a zoom is effectively applied to the image. I should expect a clean, simple transition within this zoom, but as you can see the image jumps around the screen. To be clear, there were no other Pan/Crop adjustments applied on the timeline. The problem is present both when Fx or no Fx are applied to the image.
See example(s) here:
I can't decipher exactly which images sony Vegas takes issue with, but if I'm to take a guess, images which closely match the resolution of my video (so effectively cover the screen closely) are problematic rather than images that don't. My project is at 1920x1080, and images with a resolution of 540x540 for example seem to pose no problem compared to images at 1920x900, even when said images are Pan/Cropped to effectively cover the screen. Furthermore, this problem appears and disappears when these videos are rendered at different resolutions. When rendering this video (consisting only of an image with a Pan/Crop event) at Internet 1080p, the problem is present. However, when rendering the footage at 480p widescreen, the problem disappears entirely.
Closing and re-opening Sony Vegas and my project has not solved the issue.
Thanks for your help.
