Best contact Magix as they now own Vegas and maybe able to help you. If you just purchased version 8 from a store then you may need to contact the outlet you purchased it from directly.

Download the last/latest VP-8 build from Magix and re-install.
Along with your serial code, use the same email address that was used privously. I do not know about VP-8, but I activated and use 32 bit VP-9 w/o issues on my Win 10 laptop.

I was able to download and install and register my Vegas Pro 8 and DVDA from my Sony Creative Software account, which also has all the serial numbers stored. I just did this last week because I needed AC3 Pro for a short project.

With apologies to previous posters, there is absolutely no information regarding this product on my Magix software account.

@Musicvid OT but just to clarify.: do you have any SCS software (that you have not updated/upgraded after the transition period) listed on your current account? Note that "accounts without posts have not been migrated". (All 14K+ of your SCS era forum posts/comments are from that "10" account of yours which you changed to for security reasons IIRC.)

Ok first what transition period second never received a email or txt about any transition period and they should have sent it to me I’m just peeved off my software should work

MAGIX acquired Vegas products from Sony Creative Software in mid-2016.

The Sony/SCS era serial numbers of your products should still be on your old SCS account, link in Musicvid's comment above.

Btw, have you tried to contact Online Live Chat during Service hours?

@vkmast

I haven't tried logging in to my Magix user account using that old user name. I'll give it a try, though.

Here's what's on my SCS software page. The oldest title on my Magix page is MSP13:

I recall now that my former email address for the SCS forums was blocked by some quirk of Magix in 2016, and that is still the case today. None of the passwords I have ever used will be accepted, either by the forum or my Magix account, after following these instructions to the letter multiple times.
