Trouble importing .MOV files

I use Vegas 15. I can't import .MOV files -- I get an error message every time. Any suggestions on fixing this?

I went to YouTube and found where I should click on the 'depreciated features" tab and check "enable quicktime plug-ins" -- ????? I don't have the DF tab...
