I use Vegas Pro 13 on Windows 10. I would like to import a series of .ts files and render them. When I play the .ts files in VLC or other programs, there is sound. After I import them into Vegas, there is no sound. Can I do something about that?

Plug-In Name: compoundplug.dll Ordner: C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 13.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\compoundplug Format: MPEG-2 Transport Stream Version: Version 13.0 (Build 453) 64-bit Firma: Sony Creative Software Inc.
I suspect Vegas isn't looking for AAC audio in an "Typ: MPEG-2 Transport Stream". Since there is only one video and one audio stream, I'd try the easy method and just change the extension of the file from .ts to .mp4 and see how Vegas interprets it.
If that doesn't work:
1) you haven't lost anything
2) Upload a short file of that type to an online file share, post the download link and someone will help you choose the best tool to re-wrap it to .mp4.
It worked with Handbrake. Many thanks everybody! I have 55 .ts files now in Vegas - with sound, and each one 30 seconds long.
Next little problem: the sound is almost but not quite synced with the images. The difference is so small that I don't notice it while watching but - the final moment of each snippet is silent, just a fraction of a second. When stitching the snippets together, there is a tiny silent moment in music and speech, like a glitch that is audible.
Is there a way to automatically push all snippets together a little bit so that they overlap? that would take care of the silent moment. I could do that manually but can it also done per command somehow?
