No Support Available for product i purchased

Hello All.

 

I am having issues with movie studio 17.0 platnum, for some reason i was able to
load up the software previously and have it open but was unable to import footage from my OBS captured footage despite trying to change the format of the footage,when revisiting this issue to try and solve it after being away from home, im
having to "reactivate" the software which i remember previously doing, and for
some reason it has registered the product under some other software from the
company, but won't let me launch movie studio 17.0 platnum due to not having a
valid licence?

I opened a ticket last week on Magix Support page and was able to get a response which stated i needed to forward an email with the serial number (the original email i recieved when purchasing the product) and when i did this, i couldn't reply directly to their email, instead this resulted me in opening a new ticket, when trying to put the information there, i was also unable to open this ticket as it stated that the product is too old and asked me to provide a support voucher? What do i do? i spent 59.99 on this software which doesn't work and is taking up space on my PC yet it can't be activated because it says the dserial number has already been used. please help

That said, $59.99 is an unusual amount to pay for Vegas Movie Studio 17, so you may have gotten it from a third party vendor, which unfortunately are sometimes not legitimate.

Meanwhile, make special note that not all encoders in OBS are compatible! My current "best bet" settings are here, install UT Codec on your system to use the recordings in Vegas.

Vanilla x264 works very well, too.
