@Dexcon .. Yes we were on Queen Elizabeth on that trip .. Been traveling Cunard since 1998 so we've been on all the Queens, including the old QE2 .. I hear what you are saying about how your camera is itching to go .. mine too .. we've missed cruising .. The bulk of my work in Vegas has been trip videos .. in fact we were on the 2020 World Cruise on QM2 when the COVID hit .. but that's a long story which includes circumnavigating Australia .. Here's a small bit of that trip when we unexpectedly did an overnight in Darwin and got to see the FLYING DOCTORS! No. That's not a Marvel comic superhero but rather REAL HEROES.

@Reyfox  ... We're starting off in Zurich and then doing a Rhine and Moselle river cruise. Overnight moorings include: Strasbourg, Mannheim, Koblenz, Dusseldorf, Maastricht and Antwerp. Then we'll have a few days in Amsterdam (my wife wants to visit Floriade which is held only once every 10 years).

@xberk ... We were meant to go to Darwin in August last year, but ... And we were meant to be embarking the Queen Elizabeth at Hong Kong at the end of this month, but ...

Thank you for posting the RFDS Darwin video because we should be in Darwin in early 2023, so the RFDS will be a must see. Even though we've mainly sailed with Cunard (2 x QM2, 1 x QV and 1 x QE), the 2023 voyage will be on Silversea's Silver Whisper from Sydney to Singapore.

Camera lenses fogging up in hot and humid climates is a problem. On our QV voyage in 2016, it sometimes took up to 15 minutes for the AX100's lens to clear of fogging when taking the camera outdoors for much of the voyage across the Pacific Ocean. The same in ultra-humid Singapore.

Wouldn't it be great if the new VEGAS Hub would (for all users, not just subscription) have areas for users to post their snippets. Better still - like CyberLink does - complete timelines, so that other users can see how you made your masterpiece.
And (still like Cyberlink) to post transitions, titles, slideshow templates etc. some free but some with a charge.

@merlin-beedell
As has already been explained several times by developers here in the forum, Vegas Hub incurs running costs that can (logically) only be realised through the ongoing payment of subscriptions.

Apart from that, I think your idea (or Cyberlink's) is very good +1

I put this together in the past three weeks. It's the final track of my soon to be released album. The track is entitled Virtual Highway. I shot it on three Sony HD cameras as well as a Hero 7 Gopro. Edited in Vegas 19 and After Effects. The audio was recorded and produced in my home studio.

Hi all,

This is my first attempt at a slow-mo / speed ramping-type music video.

Finally, a concept video - “Metropolis 2”, which was shot on a Sony A6500 and a Sony NEX5N with an assortment of primes. Enjoy 🙂

alifftudm95 wrote on 10/22/2021, 6:49 AM

Edited this 3 Low budget Motion Graphic video with VEGAS Effects. One of the video contain a music from VEGAS Hub services.

So many things can be improved on VE. Doing speedramp on this program is pain cuz you manipulating the video speed by using OFX, which is very sluggish. I wish the video speed can be alter in media level.

@Musicvid I've been on the fence for years about getting a drone. With all the "restrictions" currently in place with size and where you can fly, it's tough. But I do miss the color of the leaves changing like when I was living in NY. You can drive up the interstate and see the changes from green (NYC) to the fantastic rainbow the further upstate you go. Here in Poland, there is color change, but not to the extent.

@GerY I'd love to go on a trip with a camper!

Musicvid wrote on 11/4/2021, 12:43 PM

@Reyfox

We have gorgeous fall foliage in Colorado, but nothing can beat the drive we had through upstate New York and Maine on the way to a gig in Quebec City ca. 1977. I was playing B3 and Rhodes in a Funk and R&B cover band, and our crowds were upwards of 1,200 patrons per night for about four weeks iirc.

On the subject of drones, the "restrictions" are largely unenforceable, and the opportunities for clandestine activity are plentiful. We had blanket sweeps over eastern Colorado by hundreds of drones for many nights last year and no one ever fully explained them.

I posted this, I think, a while back, but I loved making this in Vegas. So easy to do. Every day, I am grateful to Magix for having taken this software from where it was at V13(the dark days) to now. Incredible journey. P.S. All the photos were taken on the island of Oahu except for one from Alaska, and one from Molokai.

It's not a WMM (World Major Marathon) or something big... just a running community's 9th anniversary virtual race, but what makes it different is the included training as well besides of the virtual race - and so I extremely focused on following that training plan...

I'm more to try this 10km Time Trial running by myself - so a bit less-focused on personal-selfi-filming... and leave that to my friends who helped filming me...., using their Android Phones.

Powered with the editing... this is what I can come up with, the 10K personal best timing attempt after 10 weeks of following IndoRunners Bali Running Community's training plan.

@set I used to run a lot, but preferred running through the forest. I would go out with my two very large German Shepherd's and we would go for miles running, jumping, ducking.... now, biking. Knees can't handle the impact anymore.

What was the humidity like? And your bpm were really up there!

This is a short video I shot in Paris, at the end of October, 2021. My intent was to show the prevailing atmosphere in Paris currently, after the long period of dealing with Covid. The end goal was to promote tourism, the sector in which most of my work falls.
