I've tried even doing a search of my entire C drive for "Application Extensions" and I get no result. Is there anywhere else I could place the .dll file for it to show up in Vegas Pro?

Ken, this is the only thing I have done to my Windows 10 folder properties, and I have done so since Vista. I don't know what else to tell you.

The source videos I'm working with are mostly 30 fps, but come from different cameras, including iPhones, camcorders, etc.

I am doing a test with only 2 videos, and already Vegas is freezing up ever few seconds for about 5 seconds. I'm assuming this is because of the VideoWall. Any advice on why this might be and how to stop it?

is it a temporary freezing or permanent that Vegas needs to be force closed?

I had that too when I zoomed in too much to do the sync-ing work, but after waiting few times, no trouble.

Thanks. But now I'm a bit confused. This increases the file size massively (from 402 MB to 43 GB! That is clearly unworkable. I don't even have that much free space on my hard drive!

Unfortunately, that's the 'problem' actually. Yes - Large size because Intermediate format is like that.

It's temporary. Last hang (maybe a better word) lasted 20-30 [Update: last time it crashed]

seconds. And it only happens if I have started using VideoWall. I made sure I downloaded the MAGIX version. I don't think it works in my version for some reason - not without hangs and crashes. Great idea. Just not workable.

btw... are you sure you are using Intermediate 422 29.97p ?

If using XQ or HQ, it's possible that it will goes skyrocket... but, for comparison... here's mine for 19 singers with duration around 1minute 23secs

All sources are AVC and HEVC cellphone.

Were you saying to render each of the 70+ videos? I thought that is what you meant. O I tried to render a single video back out using, yes, Intermediate 422 29.97p.

a 1:20 video was estimated as 18GB, but after render results only 1.2GB...

Here is a transparent PNG guide grid that I made using @3POINT method and Photoshop. It has 81, that's 75+, 16x9 windows that you can use as a guide to place each video on a track underneath. At 8K, it should scale and hold you for a while.

John, how did you create that grid in PS. I have it (CC) but I don't know how to make a grid. I'd use yours but it turns out I only need 70 squares. But I'm not sure how to do it.

I haven't tried anything as big as you are doing, but no, it is not freezing or crashing in VP14. I do have GPU Acceleration of Video Processing turned off, fwiw.

No need for PS, use Cookie Cutter (with showed settings) in Vegas to create grid and Crop Fx together with Pip Fx to crop, size and position your media.
