What versions of Vegas 20 include Colorization? I currently own Vegas Pro 19 that has it. However if I were to upgrade to a version of Vegas 20, is this feature in Vegas Edit or do I need to purchase Vegas 20 Pro to continue to have that feature?

Also, if I were to switch to one of the Subscription versions instead of the desktop program, which versions have the Colorization feature.

All current versions of Vegas Pro, including the upcoming Vegas 20 have Colorization via the AI package, if that is your question?

As VEGAS Pro versions 20 (Edit, Pro, Post) are not out yet, we need to go by what @Musicvid mentions above.

15hrs to render 30min vid? Colorization can slow Vegas a little on render or playback 640 x 480 shouldn't be that hard

this what Colorization render does to my machine, without Colorization render takes 0.10secs, with collorization it took 0.42secs

my pc is different to yours so can you go to your icon at the top, click it - My Profile, & fill in your Signature with your Vegas version, Windows version & system specs, full name of CPU, GPU, & amount of RAM etc. this will then show at the bottom of the comments 👍 thanks.

To answer your question definitively, I believe all versions of Vegas Pro (Edit, Pro, Post) have the Colorization plugin via the AI package.

All three versions of Vegas Pro containing the Colorization plugin (18, 19, and soon 20) will render at approximately the same amount of time on your laptop. There are no fundamental differences in the engine.

Thank you. I was not sure. When I was reading the comparison between versions it looked like the AI was only in the Pro or Post version. I only need Vegas for Editing and if I can save not having to buy the more expensive versions it will be a big savings. Thanks again for your help.

I do not have Vegas Edit 19. If I was wrong about that, someone please let me know right away and I will retract it before I confuse this poor guy any more! @vkmast

The only difference between VEGAS Pro Edit and VEGAS Pro are which third party plugins are bundled with it. All the core effects, colorization included, are the same across all versions.

VEGAS 19 Product Comparison shows "AI-assisted tools" as listed under VEGAS Pro which is included in the VEGAS Edit purchase. "VEGAS Edit, Video editing for everyone...Includes:VEGAS Pro 19".

I cannot remember how to get to the "colorization" feature in Vegas Pro. I just purchased Vegas Pro Edit 19. It was offered on sale at $59.99. Before I purchased it, I asked Magix if it was included in that version and I was told it was. Colorization is listed in the help index and shows the settings but I can't find how to actually open up the "effect/plug-in". Would someone please walk me through it step by step to tell me where I can find it. What pull down menu do I start with and where do I go from there?
