Not a problem for Vegas Pro 18 on desktop and laptop from signature.
Even with much heavier files of my DJI Osmo, in fact UHD 50p.
Plays smooth at preview full, look

Do you have So4compound plug disabled by chance? What are your settings in Options/Preferences/File I/O?
