We didn't know that either. If it bothers you, please block it in your browser. We give the Magix internet team a hint for your improvements. Maybe it can answer everything in the future or automate your VEGAS work. :D
Please, get rid of it. It only adds to increased RSI risk, mouse button wear and is bad for the climate. Extra processor cycles/interrupts and extra usb power usage caused by continuously clicking away the popup all use extra power which is bad for the climate...
I've got pop-ups blocked in MS Edge, yet this pester-ware continues to make a most unwelcome appearance on every page change/scroll/etc even though I've already turned it off via the X. This pop-up is horrible!
EDIT: And after posting this, it immediately came back. Ye gads!
Popup Blocker (strict) failed to block it in my FireFox browser. Ublock Origin worked, however. Got it from the official Mozilla site via the Tools, Add-ons, Extensions menu in the browser. Also blocked this other screen:
Also available on the Chrome and Opera stores as well as GitHub. Plus Crowdin for international flavors.
I'm struggling with the rationale for adding browser extensions to already bloated code to overcome something that we don't need and didn't want.
When reading a multi-page thread, the ability to do a search is not "top-of-mind" for me. The search function should not be persistent on every page.
Since we have tabbed browsing, I always do searches in another session while I have an open window to type a response, making search on every page redundant.
There is sufficient territory on the banner at the top of the first forum page to add the Search Assistant if the web team understands how I work better than I do.
Update: 'uBlock Origin' v1.16.4.18 blocks the annoying Search assistant in PaleMoon and Firefox ESR. (Use firefox-legacy-1.16.4.18 ( https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock-for-firefox-legacy/releases ) I do not use the current FF version to try uBlock it may work in that too.. 'uBlock Origin' is available for Chrome and Safari as well, Don't know about IE or Edge.
